So this is not the best photo that I have to show everyone so far, but I think it is one of the most creepy...I took this phot in the catecombees of paris...it was almost pitch black so it was very creey...my camera came through though and let me capture this!
Yes....they are real skulls and bones. There are around 7 million parisians buried in this maze of tunnels and it is a very harrowing experience to see that there are that many dead people around you. I wasn't too freaked out by it all but it was definitely something that you don't want to do every day. I just wonder how much human bone dust I breathed in!!!!
More photos to come when I get to toulouse and Stephs decent speed computer.
Have taken 800 photos so far so will have to condense what I show you here quite a lot! Having lots of fun though so its definitely worth it. Parisians haven't been arrogant at all just yet! Americans here tend to be rather annoying as they don't quite grasp the concept that not everyone in the world speaks english! I overheard one American ask a shop keeper "do you have any ice water", "how can you not know what Ice water is?"... Sacre Bleu!!!
A friend at work, John, mentioned that this would be a good photo for one of those inspirational type poster thingymabobs. Caption: "Boundaries are only there to be broken". A little cliched for my tastes but oh well....
So recently I bought my very first digital SLR camera.
I have created this blog to try and find out if my photography improves over time and also to share my favourite shots with friends and family.
I hope you enjoy it and feel free to post any comments if you have them - the feedback is great!
